Starting Over

This might seem like a new blog... actually, after an 17 month break from blogging about paper-crafting I decided to start again from scratch.  My old wordpress blog can be found here... the fact is that between medical and financial issues, downsizing a family home to empty-nester size and moving cross-country, cardmaking and scrapbooking got pushed to the back burner.  I am ready to start again!

I went to an all day crop yesterday, the first time in ages.  All I did was make cards... I feel really rusty at it... it took me awhile to feel like my mojo was coming back to me.  I made lots of Halloween cards, and I've always loved all the vintage victorian scrap elements and that was my focus yesterday.  Used a lot of paper and things that I already had in my stash.

This card is made using a sketch from Cute Card Thursday blog, Sketch #183.
My papers are from My Mind's Eye, and the image is from Crafty Secrets.  I used some pleated ribbon, I think from May Arts to frame the image and popped the image out with pop dots.  Pearls and gems ring my half-oval.

Here are some of the other cards I made yesterday - the vintage images are ones I found on the internet.

Fiskars punch, Crafty Secrets bat stamps, My Mind's Eye papers, Internet Image, Stampin' Up texture stamp, black gems.

More My Mind's Eye papers.

Same papers, Internet Image, and some fussy-cut letters.

Thanks for looking and I hope to jazz up my blog soon with more artwork!
